Seen from the outside, it was less than a year ago that the French duo Møme got off to a flying start ; in the meantime, their plates have been full : an EP released a few months ago, already working on a new one for 2015, and on top of that, live plays with Fakear, Klangkarussell and Flume (did I mention they got signed under Emprise Music ?)
‘Trembling Tokyo’, for which The Vibe Guide is happily hosting the premiere, depicts their evolution and beyond having put the spotlight above them, brought to the foreground their funky electronic style made of joy, voice samples and real guitar riffs. This record, as much as their previous one Childhood, sets the stage for Møme’s success (as even the English duo Bondax is loving their productions !)
Invariably triggering a light spirited mood, ‘Trembling Tokyo’ hits the summery cord in your head, whilst the singer’s voice is put on a spin, foretelling an explosion of well adjusted sound ; this duo of music lovers knows how to build up a song, only to offer a rather remarkable music journey to anyone out there.
