There’s an underlying attitude to INCA’s music that makes you think that FKA Twig’s style of music has legs beyond LP1. Its sparse landscape and hazy vocals concoct a psychedelic level of synergy that would make anyone think this is an artist with a global following. The fact that London-based INCA has less than 100 followers on Soundcloud just goes to show that 2015 may just be the year of independent music, with focus straying away from the big three majors. ‘Wake Me Up’ is exciting, strangely energising and a debut that puts a lot of promise in the hands of its creators – I can’t wait to hear more from them.
I'm the Editor of The Vibe Guide. I also occasionally dabble with the label side, too. Drop me a line if you've got an interesting story. If you're sending promo, please don't include the age of the producer/singer - this isn't the porn industry - if you're talented, you're talented :)
