Talos is capable of making smart pop anthems. His music is the soundtrack to black-tie balls with sounds that lay akin Jessie Ware’s sultry voice, Jessie Lanza’s tangled production and more obviously, James Blake’s floaty soundscape. ‘Bloom’ is a ballad with vocals that bleed into a instrumental and sometimes overwrought strutting drums. ‘Tethered Bones’, his debut single fast became a tour de force; it was selected as one of The Guardian’s top tracks from around the world. ‘Bloom’, on the other hand is a little more laid back with less of a pearly sheen and more of rigid structure, showing off Talos as a more assured artist simmering heaps of confidence.

I cannot stop playing this song. It’s utterly mesmerizing. The lyrics are so sparse, but read like poetry.
“Oh, so high, my wax waning…”
Like, who thinks of that?
Anyway, amazing song that I wanted to show my love for.
