Yet again, L D R U has proved himself to be another Australian act well worth watching out for.
Whilst the original record by Broods was a solid track filled with lovely piano, electronic and vocal harmonies, here, L D R U ups the tempo. It starts off as a tribal fest with rhythmic drums and warpaint before breaking down into an electronic jam with haunting vocals. And then, without any warning, it suddenly drops with siren sounds blasting out. All together, it creates an atmosphere so ethereal that it sucks your mind into a different place (which for me is all strobe lights with black and white flickering).
And when I finally come back to myself, I can do nothing else but press repeat.
