Listening to Henry Green is like stepping into an ethereal world where the grass is made of lush soundscapes and the sky of silky voices. On his latest demo track, “A Better Place,” he doesn’t disappoint. With layers of haunting vocals and an echoing percussion loop, this song has a delicate indie electronic feel that brings an immediate moment of calm into your day.
At only 18, Henry Green has managed to create a distinctive sound that first grabbed my attention with his cover of “Electric Feel” by MGMT (also check out the Kygo remix we covered a few months back). Channelling melancholic folksy vibes in the vein of Damien Rice and Bon Iver while adding an electronic twist to the game, this kid is one to keep an eye on.
