Kwabs is a London based singer and with a SOHN collaboration already under his belt, he is only set to get bigger and better.
His main asset is his powerful, but controlled voice, which is so full of such strength and emotion that it seems to enrapture the listener. In this particular track, the way all the various components of percussion and small electronic tunes join to build a wall of sound before dissolving into the bare minimum for the chorus is especially stunning. It is the perfect way to enhance his vocals as they soar higher and higher towards the climax. The lyrics are also noteworthy as they only serve to make the song more personal as he repeats ‘If you’re looking for a place to hide, it’s alright, I will always try and look the other way.‘
With an EP coming out on the 3rd Feb and enthralling vocals, he is definitely one to look out for this year.
