There’s sometime a little festive about the opening to E X R O Y A L E’s “Give It Up”, kind of like electronic sleigh bells. Putting the holiday celebrations aside for a moment, the uplifting beat, simple keys and uncomplicated synths in this single is a refreshing debut, and most importantly leaves room for this indie-pop outfit to develop their sound.
The star of this track is definitely the flawless falsetto, persuading us to gently nod our heads and drift to this electronic ballad. You can download “Give It Up” for free from their bandcamp page, and word on the block is that an EP is on the way.
